Root, Neal & Company is a young and vibrant Industrial distributor with a proud history. Founded in 1905 by Messrs. Samuel Root and John R. H. Neal, our supply firm quickly became a leading merchant to a booming Western New York during it’s turn-of-the-century industrial prosperity. Trade from the Erie Canal established the area as a world leader in grain, steel, and other allied products. Throughout the years we have seen many changes and tailored our business model to accommodate them.

One thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to the quality manufacturers we represent. Names such as Dodge, Viking Pump, Deming Pump and Powell Valve that were the hallmark of our beginnings still grace our inventory shelves a century later. These products are complimented by a variety of integrated offerings displayed in the current logo section on this page, and by our continued focus on expertise and service which are the foundation of our success.
